A fantastic long weekend of races, PBs and medals from the Green Army and the First Strides.

Talgarth 10 Mile Fun Run
Julie Cashell (1st Lady!) and Sam Standerwick took part in the Talgarth Mill Race 10-mile ‘fun run’ which included a 1,300ft+ ascent. All good fun when you love a good trail race.
Oswestry Half Marathon
Margrett Monk attended the inaugural Oswestry Half Marathon that was organised by UKRunChat, a group popular on Twitter.
Cardiff Race for Victory 5K
The Green Army (and First Strides) was out in force for the Race for Victory 5K event which took place in Whitchurch, Cardiff on Sunday evening. There were PBs galore with Sam Jackson inching towards the magic sub-20 mark, Sian McGoldrick scoring a new PB and Alex Thomas continuing to improve.
Rachel Lewis improved her 5K PB by a huge 30 seconds and Cerys-Scarlett Swift, Nathan Harper, Kathleen Jervis, Beth Jones and Karen Jones also secured new PBs. Lauren ‘Sooper’ Cooper joined the sub-18’30” club with a fantastic run.
Michael Lewis continued to better his times with PBs both here and at parkrun. He has reached his goal of reaching sub-27 minutes but I’m sure he’s getting under 26 minutes.
Tony Lewis also secured a new PB, not long after also getting a half marathon PB at Boston (UK) over the Easter Weekend.
In addition to the PBs, Rachel Lewis secured a gold in the FV40 category, Lee Aherne a gold in the MV50 category and Damian Williams and new member Sian McGoldrick were awarded a bronze in the MV50 and FV50 categories respectively.
