Hoka Winter Trail Half Marathon
The tough Hoka Winter Trail Half Marathon took place on Saturday and the wall at mile 11 didn’t perturb 14 club members from racing.
Welsh Cross Country Championships
It was Welsh Cross Country Championships time again and it was another trip to Pembrey Country Park for the Green Army.
Lauren Cooper was one of the favourites to take the title in the ladies race and came close finishing in second place.
Mark Williams, David Kempton and Cyril Williams took a bronze in the Masters 60 category…
and Lee Aherne took Welsh Council Worker Employee of the Year gold in the Masters 50 category.
Pontypool Home Run 10k
Fortunately the course for the Pontypool Home Run 10K was affected by the recent storms and went ahead on Sunday. As always there was a good turnout from the Green Army and Nicola Jukes was first lady home!

“Well how I run after being so unwell yes I do not know,???????? then we had hop along Bobbie Swift Was Farmilo ????♀️ need to sort that foot out then there was poor Kathryn Price who sounded like she smoked 90 fags a day please get a pump..????♀️????????♀️????♀️ but we smashed 18 miles and yep you guessed it my longest run ever.. oh and sorry for the ppl on the bus who may ave saw more of Bobbie than expected ????????”
