John H Collins Gwent XC League: Parc Bryn Bach

Introduction

Parc Bryn Bach Running Club are delighted to host the 3rd of 5 John H Collins Gwent League Fixtures for 2018/19 at Parc Bryn Bach on Sunday 2nd December 2018.

Founded in 1963, this event has grown to be the largest cross country competition in Wales and the South West of England regularly attracting well in excess of 1,000 Athletes. A packed schedule will provide competition for all age groups ranging from Under 11 Juniors right through to Seniors and Masters.

Leading Clubs from East, South and West Wales and South West England are well represented which ensures the competition is of a very high standard with many of the best Athletes from the various regions taking part.

Located on the outskirts of the Brecon Beacons, the course will provide a very scenic but also challenging terrain especially given the time of year!

We look forward to welcoming all Clubs and Athletes from near and far.

Directions and Parking

The main car park is a few minutes walk from the tent village. No coaches are allowed in the Parc. Coach and overflow parking is on the Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate which is over the Heads of the Valleys bridge, a few minutes walk from the Parc.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE APPROACH ROAD TO PARC BRYN BACH OR ON THE BRIDGE OVER THE HEADS OF THE VALLEYS ROAD!

Toilets and Showers

Toilets and showers are in the Visitors centre. There are no toilets on the course. There are public toilets in the Visitors Centre and also toilets in the changing rooms. The entrance for the changing rooms is the opposite side of the Visitors Centre, not the main entrance.

Registration

Registration will be in the Visitors Centre which is 400 metres from the tent village. Use Visitors Centre main entrance for registration.

Course Start

The course is 400 metres from the tent village and a further 400 metres to the start area – ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO THE START!
