Severn Bridge Night Race 2

The second Severn Bridge Night Race took place on Thursday and a number of Green Army members took place with Marcus Smith, Mark Williams, Stephen George and Keith Brewer taking third place for the men’s team.  Thanks to Tosh for the photo.


Escape to Afan Standard Duathlon

Karl Coughlin was flying the flag for the Green Army at the Escape to Afan Duathlon in Bryn Bettws Lodge near Port Talbot on Saturday.

PBs this week at Bryn Bach parkrun were Stephen George who finished in 21:10 and Sian Steadman who finished in 27:53.

British Athletics Cross Challenge (Liverpool)

The second fixture in the British Athletics Cross Challenge took place in Liverpool on Saturday afternoon and our own Lauren ‘Sooper’ Cooper took part. In a field packed with GB athletes, she finished in a very impressive 41st position.


Howling Bull V

This week saw the annual Howling Bull race take place in Walford, near Goodrich. The muddy 6-mile trail race features a choice of routes near the end of the course – either a steep descent with the chance of a fall or the more runnable route which could take you longer. All of our runners stayed vertical although Sam did decide to go a little off piste.

Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run

Christmas arrived early in Bryn Bach Park this weekend with the Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run race in aid of Hospice of the Valleys. Great to see club members supporting the charity and dressing up.


Benidorm 10k

Last week it was Las Vegas, this week it’s Benidorm for Steven Phillips!


Castle Coombe Chilly 10k

The Hamer’s were in Castle Coombe on Sunday for the Chilly 10K and Katie bagged a PB finishing in 52:16.

The fog didn’t put off 13 club members from joining Dave for a hilly Sunday morning run.
