Castle Combe Duathlon

Well done to Steve Hamer for getting scoring a PB at the Castle Combe Duathlon this week.

Newport Five

The inaugural Newport Five took place on Friday evening in aid of St David’s Hospice. Six club members raced with Nicola Jukes taking first place (powered by go faster daps!). Thanks to Chris Hill for the photo of Nic.

This week’s PBs were from Nick Webb who finished in 19:36, Hayley Jackson in 21:22, Stephen Price in 22:31, Lee Bool in 26:04 and Lisa James Lynch in 29:22

And after 7 years and 79 parkruns Ceri Caswell finally got a PB finishing in 24:48!

Roman Run

There was a great turnout as usual for the 16-mile Roman run from Brecon to Merthyr. there was 3rd place fro Hywel Diplock, a team win for the men and a number of PBs including an 11-minute improvement for Neil Beynon, a 6-minute PB for Katharine Collins and almost a 3-minute PB for Bobbie Swift.

The Dare 12

Well done to Owain Williams who ran 45 miles in 12 hours in the Dare 12 in Aberdare on Saturday. That also included 6,000ft of ascent!

Ben Nevis Race

Kevin’s raced Snowdown, and now he’s raced Ben Nevis! Bet that was a tough race!

Great North Run

Laura, Kim, Marcus, Peter Hire, Susan Kelly and Sian’s Perry and Steadman were oop North for the Great North Run. I’m liking the official team photo.

Castle 2 Castle

The annual Castle 2 Castle race took place on Sunday with a 11-mile run between Caerphilly Castle and Cardiff Castle. There was a good turnout from the club with some using it as a training run for Cardiff Half next month.
