Steve Jones 1 Mile Race Series
The last race in the Steve Jones Mile Race Series took place on Friday. It’s August, it’s in Tredegar, it’s bound to be raining. And it rained! Well done to Sharon Newell for winning the race series for the second year in a row.
parkrun
There were three PBs to report at parkrun this week with Harry Davies finishing in 16:24, Mick Kelly in 25:45 and Lee Bool in 26:15.
Bobbie Swift celebrated her 100th parkrun (on her birthday!) and Sally Ann Morgan and Cath Cross also celebrated their 50th parkrun.

Race the Train
The Green Army travelled to north Wales on Saturday afternoon for the annual Race the Train race. Kim: “No I didn’t beat the train but was happy to finish as I feel like I have been hit by one . ????????”. Thanks to Stewart Webb for the photos.
Parc Cwm Darran 5 Miler
The Parc Cwm Darren 5 miler was the race of choice for the Green Army this week and there were some great results including a win for the female team, 1st female for Nicola Jukes and age category awards. Thanks to Johnny Lam for the photo.
Llandegfedd 10K
Well done to Rachel who took 2nd female at the Llandegfedd 10k trail race on Sunday (after a steward’s enquiry). Unlike her to request such a thing (Howling Bull 2017 ;).
Two Tunnels
The annual Two Tunnels race took place in Bath on Sunday with a variety of races on offer from 5k through to ultra. Rebeccah Williams took part in not one, not two, but three races – the 5k, 10k and half marathon!
