Vests on Tour

Crete

SSAFA 5k

There was a good turnout at the SSAFA 5k on Wednesday although looks like someone may have forgotten their vest 😉

Hayley scored a PB finishing in 21:23, Nic won her age category and Lauren won 1st female! Thanks to Paul Stillman for the photos.

parkrun

There were 44 shiny new PBs at this week’s Pacer Event. Darren Swift was the closest to his time recording bang on 34:00. Thanks as always to our organising superhero Laura Hire.

parkrun Tourists

Amager

Sam and Sian were in Denmark this weekend and took part in the Amager parkrun. Sam won comfortably and Sian took 1st female!

Pomphrey

Burnham and Highbridge

Clitheroe Castle

Darlington

Amazing who you happen bump into when visiting a parkrun!

Magor 10k

Nicola, Lee, Harry and Stephen raced the fast and flat Magor 10k on Saturday morning with Lee taking 3rd overall and Nic taking 3rd female.

Afan Forest Trail Festival

Martyn Powell and Claire Sullivan were representing the Green Army at the Afan Trail Festival on Saturday morning.

Tolkien Trail 10k

Mark Williams took one for the team on Saturday afternoon running around the Tolkien 10k trail race with Rebeccah. Looked damp! Thanks to David Belshaw for the photo.

Tenby 10k

The Lewis’, Hayley Jackson, Caroline Matthews and Jamie Parry took part in a hot Tenby 10k on Sunday.

Rachel and Hayley finished 3rd in their age categories and Jamie Parry won the race!

Thanks to Mike Matthews who took photos during the race. Based on the corker below I think my role as club paparazzo is safe.

Down Tow Up Flow Half Marathon

Katie Hamer was running along the Thames Path between Marlow and Windsor on Sunday morning for the Down Tow Up Flow half marathon.

Waun Fach Fell Race

Richard Sheehy took part in the Waun Face fell race on Sunday and the race had a bit of a difference. Rather then using marshalls and timing the race, everyone used their phones and the MapRun app to follow the route and record their time. This meant that runners could complete the race in their own time.

Cider Frolic

Sam was collecting another squeaker this weekend at the White Star Running Cider Frolic. Well done for completing 11.9 miles in hot conditions.

Sunday Runs

Abertysswg Loop

Black Mountains Trail Run

Running with the Eagles

Wyedean Relay Recce Runs

Good to see that our Wyedean Relay runners are heeding the advice and heading out for recce runs. Only a couple of weeks to go until the inaugural 70k relay race around the River Wye.
