31st British and Irish Masters International

The 31st Annual British and Irish Masters Cross Country International took place in Singleton Park on Saturday and featured Lee Aherne and Nicola Jukes running in two very competitive races. Kath Jervis and Margrett Monk were selected as a reserve runner and even though they weren’t required for the main race, they still got to run in the red vest in the Open Race.

The Green Army is always on hand to support our team mates and in addition to those running Haydn Hartnell and Lauren Cooper also travelled down to support our runners.

GLCL XC: Pontnewynydd

The second fixture in the 2018/2019 GLCL XC league and it was a return to Pontnewynydd for the tough, tough, tough 4 mile route up and down a mountain. Thankfully the sun was shining and there was no snow like last year.

London Marathon Ballot

Congratulations to both Helen Williams and Ian Line who were successful in the drawing of the 2019 London Marathon Ballot today. Both were ecstatic about securing the place. Helen has been trying for many years to get a place and Ian is no stranger to the race having run it in under 3 hours in his Club 69 days.

Welsh Inter-School XC Championships

A big well done to Tom Webb who competed in the Welsh Inter-School XC Championships in Brecon on Saturday. He was competing in a big field ranging from 15 to 19 but Tom had a great race on his longest XC distance to date.
