Last Week’s Leftovers

Crocodile 8

A dozen club members tackled the Crocodile 8 multi-terrain race on Sunday afternoon. This was a great turnout considering only two club members ran the race in 2017. The 8.8-ish mile course featured hill, steep steps and plenty of mud!

Bolamaen 2018

Bolamaen is a new race from Running Pontfaen and took place on May 26th north of Brecon. Originally meant to be a 7 mile fell race, adverse weather conditions on the morning meant the course was reduced to 3.25 miles.

Our very own Rhianydd Evans took part and finished in third position in a time of 29:17 – just 17 seconds behind second

Vitality 10000

Highlighting how the Green Army gets just about everywhere, Nick Rhys Gregory was in London on Bank Holiday Monday for the Vitality 10000 and ran his fastest ever 10k! Photo supplied by Gary Bartram who was there supporting Nick, his wife and friends who were running the race.

Parc Bryn Bach Aquathlon Series

The 2018 Parc Bryn Bach Aquathlon Series kicked off on Thursday evening with a number of club members participating. Harry Davies had a cracking race and finished the race in 1st position.

Meanwhile, Alex was at Poolbeg parkrun in Dublin sweating out the excesses from a hen night the night before!

Adrian John Markey was on the other side of the lens in a sunny Porthcawl and Lee-Anne Taylor were with the Caswells in Amroth, west Wales.

Brecon Sprint Triathlon

Daniel Evans, Nathan Harper and Keri Young (supported by Terry and Sharon!) were in Brecon on Saturday afternoon for the Brecon Sprint Triathlon.

Garwnant Merthyr Tydfil Epic Trail 10k 2018

A small contingent of Green Army members attended the Garwnant Merthyr Tydfil Epic Trail 10k race on Sunday morning. Missing from the image is Katherine Collins. Well done to Stephen Dallow who got 2nd MV60.

Welsh Masters Track Championships

After training Stephen Williams travelled to Nuneaton for the Welsh Masters Track Championships. Intent on coming away with at least one medal, he ended up winning gold medals in three different events!

The Scrumptious Croyde Trail

Lydia Cawsey and Peter Hire made the most of the sunny weather with a 10-mile trail race featuring local produce. The Scrumptious Croyde Trail in north Devon is a circular route and features stops along the way with produce from local suppliers that you can sample.

Rack Raid 2018

What a rewarding day for all those participating in this year’s Rack Raid. Everyone gave it their all in very challenging conditions and apart from a fallen tree at the beginning of the race, every stage went without hitch. Thanks to everyone behind the scenes for ensuring the smooth running of every stage for the Green Army.

Next Week: Welsh Castles Relay!
