Rogue Run Night Race 3

The third race into the Rogue Run Night Race series saw a return to Piercefield Park for another fun race including running through the shoe wash. Photographer Tosh Simpkin was there ready to capture the runners splashing through the water. Great to see that there are a number of club runners still entering the races and if you haven’t tried a night race I highly recommend it.

Darwin Day Marathon and Half Marathon

Mark and Rebeccah Williams were celebrating Darwin Day with a marathon for Rebeccah and a half marathon for Mark on Friday. The marathon involved 44 laps around a cycle circuit!

Super-speedy Tom Marshall was at Bryn Bach parkrun this week to try and beat the course record, and beat the course record he did! He was aiming for 14:30 and luckily Storm Ciara hadn’t yet arrived so calm conditions resulted in Tom finishing in 14:36! It was such an honour to have Tom choosing Bryn Bach and as a result he got us the top spot in the Fastest parkruns in the UK this week.

Well done to Claire who achieved a sub-23 minute parkrun for the first time. She finished in a time of 22:58.

Despite a Six Nations fixture, we still had a good turnout and enough to ensure that we had teams to score poitns to help ensure we remain in the top flight division for both men and women.

Gilbert Legge Trophy

During this fixture we received the Gilbert Legge trophy for the second time. Eriwen was on hand to help hold the trophy!

Brecon to Cardiff Ultra

Well done to Owain Williams who battled Storm Ciara and knocked off an hour of last year’s time in the Brecon to Cardiff Ultra. He finished in 07:55:52.
