New Year’s Day Double parkrun
Parc Bryn Bach and Aberbeeg

parkrunners love a New Year’s Day double and it showed with a record 481 runners at Bryn Bach before a number headed over to Aberbeeg for round 2. PBs at PBB were Daniel Evans who finished in 18:09, Chris Cummings who finished in 20:24 and Hannah Williams who finished in 20:41.

Lydney and Forest of Dean

A trio of Green Army members travelled to Gloucestershire for the NYD double running Lydney and Forest of Dean.

Kymin Winter Race

One of the first races of the year was the Kymin Winter Race which was a shortened version of the Kymin Dash. Tom, Nick, Nicky and Sam took part with Sam taking third place and Tom, Nick and Sam taking first team. Tom finished in 5th overall and 2nd U20.

GLCL XC: Monmouth

It was cold, it was windy, it was muddy, shoes were lost, battles were fought, everyone was supported. This Sunday saw the first cross country fixture of the season and a number of intrepid Green Army members made their way to Monmouth for the third GLCL XC fixture.
