Annual Xmas Parlauf Relays

Thanks to Nicola Haines Jones for organising another fun Christmas Parlauf Relay on Monday. There was a good turnout with many participating in the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Bleep Test

The annual unofficial Parc Bryn Bach Running Club Christmas dinner and run took on December 17th and was well attended as always. For the second year in a row, a bleep test was held in the village hall before moving over to the pub for a meal and quiz. The quiz is always well made with a picture round that must take Sam Jones hours to put together. Thanks as always to both Sam and Sian for organising the event, the quiz and for ensuring that everyone got the right meal on the night.

Celtic Christmas Trail Race

Karl Coughlin and Carl Peacock took part in the Run, Walk, Crawl Celtic Trail Races on Saturday with both competing in the Half Marathon distance. Karl had a cracking run finishing 8th in what looked like a very challenging course. Thanks to Andy Gale for the photos.

Phoenix Running Excalibur Twelve

Sam Standerwick travelled to Walton on Thames on Saturday one of the last Phoenix Running events of the year. It was the first time Sam had been running for a while due to injury so was good to see her back out there.

Pre-Christmas Rocking Stone Run

Mr Jolly’s on a roll lately with his Sunday runs and last weekend’s run to the ‘Rocking Stone’ looked like a cracker.

Sarah’s Table Mountain Trek

Sarah’s Christmas Run saw her, Delphine and Marcus scale Table Mountain near Crickhowell followed by a reward of tea, cake and mulled wine.

Chartist Cave Social Run

The annual tradition of running up to the Chartist Cave on Christmas Eve continued with a bumper number of club runners braving the elements. I think word must have gotten around about there being nips of whiskey available for those who made it the cave.
