Machen Mountain Race

Machen Mountain Race regulars Darren and Bobbie ascended and descend the mountain on Bank Holiday Monday with Bobbie taking a win in her age category. Thanks to Richard Sheehy for the photo.

parkrun

There were three PBs to report at this week’s Pacer Special parkrun with  Kim finishing in 21:22, Melissa Pearce in 23:03 and Mick Kelly in 25:42.

Tokoinranta, Finland (Sam’s 250th parkrun)

Sam and Sian were in Finland this week and it was Sam’s 250th parkrun (Sian’s 195th)! Sam finished 2nd (10 seconds behind 1st) and Sian was first female.

Gower Triathlon

James Williams was in the Gower on Saturday for the Gower Triathlon.

Cardiff 10k

As always, there was a big turnout for the Cardiff 10k on Sunday morning. First three men home for the club were Jamie Parry in 33: 41, Lee Aherne in 33:51 and Gareth Williams in 34:04. Lauren Cooper was the first woman home finishing in 35:40 followed by Nicola Jukes in 39:31 and Hayley Jackson in 44:57.

Both Stephen Phillips, Helen Williams, Suzie Tew and Teresa Davies scored PBs finishing 42:36, 45:38, 47:07 and 52:59 respectively. I’m sure there may have been other PBs too.

Sorbrook Slog 10k

Keri and Gareth were running the Sorbrook Slog 10k on Sunday. Keri took 1st in her age category in the undulating race.

Cardiff Canter (Canicross)

Sam and Stan were in Coed Cefn-pwll-du, Draethen for the Cardiff Canicross race on Sunday. Despite what the photo shows, Sam wasn’t pulling Stan around the course.
