Tintern Trot

The sell-out Tintern Trot took place in a warm Thursday evening and race regulars Sian, Sam and Richard were joined by Stephen and myself. The race is a toughie but it’s an enjoyable, scenic run with cake and a pint at the end!

Thanks to Brenda Avery for the action shots.

Milo’s Thursday Trail Run

Milo attracted a big crowd on Thursday for his off roader. Even Blaenafon Joggers wanted in on it.

Cardiff Summer Series – 4 Mile

Race regulars Hayley, Tom and Keri were in Cardiff’s on Friday for the finale of the Cardiff Summer Series. Well done to Hayley for winning 1st FV45.

Thanks to Paul Stillman for the shot of Tom.

Welsh Masters Coventry

Mark, Louise and Lee were in Coventry on Saturday for a Welsh Master meet with Lee winning his race and Louise being part of the winning 4 x 100m relay team.

Ras Guto Nyth Bran

The Ras Guto Nyth Bran race took place in Bedwas on Saturday evening and was a very low key event. Richard Sheehy was flying the flag for the Green Army.

Thanks to Richard Cronin for the photos.

Weekend at the Races

Sam was collecting bling and squeakers and beer and beer glasses this weekend at the White Star Running Weekend at the Races. She participated in events on the Friday and Saturday (with additional cycling to the pub!).

Long Course Weekend

The popular Long Course Weekend took place in Tenby and the Green Army were taking part in both the 10K and Half Marathon. Think a club fine may be in order for Damian Caswell!

Bike and Half

Sharon was running the half marathon on the back of 70 mile bike ride the day before but I was disappointed that she didn’t keep riding to make up the full 70 miles!

The Full Monty

Porthcawl 10K

It was hot one for those running the Porthcawl 10k but there was a great turnout from the club.

Monmouth Challenge Run

The Carters and Suzanne Court were fortunate that I decided not to photograph the Monmouth Challenge Run this year. Good to see Sian McGoldrick in the Aberdare vest for the first time since moving.

Cardiff Epic Trail 10k

Peter Hire and Rebeccah Williams were flying the flag for the Green Army at the Cardiff Epic Trail 10K on Sunday. Rebeccah finished 4th lady.

Sunday Runs

Trefil Trot

Sirhowy Saunter

Blorenge Bimble

This was my first Sunday run with the club in well over a year so felt great to be back with everyone. Not sure everyone appreciated me taking photos of them on the hills! Looks like Darren may be camera shy, or trying not to look at the climb ahead of him.

This is definitely a route that would be good to organise again in the near future for those that were away racing this weekend.
