Rose Inn Series 2019: Race 1

Eight club members took part in the first race in the 2019 Rose Inn Series – Richard Sheehy, Ethan Sayce, Nicola Jukes, Nicky Morgan, Stephen Price, Beth James, Hayley Jackson and Ceri Caswell.

Steve Jones 1 Mile Race Series: Race 1

Friday saw the start of the start of the Steve Jones 1 Mile Series and there was a good turnout from the club.

There were 8 new PBS to report this week at parkrun with Matthew Partridge finishing in 18:54, Dai Parry finishing in 21:23, James Williams finishing in 21:25, Cerys-Scarlett Swift finishing in 22:47, Matthew Crowle in 23:00, Beth James in 26:18, Arlene Osman in 33:53 and Allyson Power in 45:10.

Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival

The Green Army were at the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival in Brecon on Saturday morning with Sam representing East Wales.

Cader Idris Race

Kevin Hale was flying the flag for the Green Army on Saturday competing in the tough Cader Idris Mountain Race. Thanks to Ollie Jones for the photo.

Caerphilly 10K

There was a fantastic turnout from the club at the Caerphilly 10K. Great to see Sara Elizabeth back racing again, new club members representing the Green Army and some great PBs.

Darren’s PB

Loughborough International Athletics Meet

Lauren was representing Wales on Sunday at the Loughborough International Athletics Meet in the 3000m Steeplechase. Lauren finished in a time of 10:53.67 which was a PB of 23 seconds on her last steeplechase race in Yeovil. The result puts Lauren 6th on the all-time Welsh rankings!

Welsh Athletics League: Fixture 2

There was a good turnout from the club on Sunday for the second fixture of the Welsh Athletics League. They were competing in a mixture of events – 400m, 800m and 1500m.

Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run 10k and Half Marathon

The Hamers were in Manchester on Sunday for the Great Manchester Run 10K (and half marathon for Katie).

Infinity Running: Keep On Running Margam Park

Whilst Mark Williams was competing at the Welsh Athletics League, Rebeccah was in Margam Park running 3.3 mile loops. Not sure how many she completed but I’m sure she’d be aiming for ultra distance.
