Mumbles Duathlon

Four club members competed in the Mumbles Duathlon on Saturday. James Williams and John Evans (not picutred) were running under the club’s name, Daniel Evans was running for Piranhas and Jonathon Astley was running for Taff Ely.

Pen Cerrig Calch Race

Sam and Richard were racing in the no doubt tough Pen Cerrig-calch Fell Race on Saturday afternoon. Judging by the photos it looked like there were some top quality runners at the front. Thanks to Richard Cronin for the photos.

Wilmslow Half Marathon

Well done to the Hamers who both secured PBs today in the Wilmslow Half Marathon. Katie finished in 1:55.36 smashing her PB by 3 minutes and Steve beat his PB by 13 minutes finishing in  2:25.36.

Abergavenny 10K

There was a good turn out from the club at this year’s Abergavenny 10K race. Good to see Stephen Williams being a true athlete and recovering with a pint of ‘Bow.

The Big Cheese, Cheddar

2,000ft of climb, 15 miles and one gloriously sunny day. The Swifts were in Cheddar what looked like a great trail race organised by Cheddar Running Club.

London Landmarks Half Marathon

A number of members of the Green Army travelled up to London for the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Some had been preparing for the race for some time and for Dai Parry it was only his second official half marathon and he did superbly by finishing in 01:41:46 which was a 3 minute PB.

Clearly his pre-race carb loading paid off!

Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon

After last year’s successful trial event, the Cardiff Taff Trail Half Marathon returned and just like last year the weather was perfect for running. Laura, Marcus and Darren returned for a second year and Suzie, who was spectating last year, teamed up with Laura for a more leisurely and enjoyable half marathon after her PB in Bath last week. Well done to Marcus who scored a PB – must have been those new Nike trainers and to Darren who also scored a PB finishing in 01:38:13.

Sian Was On Her Toes Spotting the Paparazzi

Laura Spotting the Paparazzi at the Last Moment as Usual

Merthyr Half Marathon

The Green Army was at yet another race this weekend with a number running the Merthyr Half Marathon. Thanks to James Williams for the photos and there should be more to follow from Adrian Markey.

Where Eagles Dare

Rebeccah Williams took part in the Where Eagles Dare 6 hour race in Aberdare on Sunday. She completed 6 x 3.3 mile loops and no doubt would have done more if her ankle wasn’t playing up.

Sunday Runs

Sian and Suzanne’s Chartist Cave Run

Lauren’s New Steeplechase PB

Well done to Lauren Cooper who greatly improved her 2000m steeplechase PB finishing in 06:50 (up from 07:41)! Not an actual race photo, but could be! 😉
