I Ran Marathons Valentine’s Series, San Antonio, TX

To celebrate 26 years of marriage, the Swifts travelled across the pond to San Antonio, Texas to run 26 miles in the I Ran Marathons Valentine’s Series race.

There were five PBS to report this week at park run with Ethan Sayce finishing in 19:29, Ian Davies in 20:50, Matthew Crowle in 23:05, Arlene Osman in 34:50 and Maggie James in 35:00. We’ll done all!

Sorbrook Slog

The Winter Edition of the Sorbrook Slog took place on Sunday and it was a disappointment that there was no bale of hay to climb over. There was still plenty of hills, mud and water!

The Green Army came away with a big haul of booze after taking 3rd Overall, 1st Senior Male, 1st Vet Female and the Overall Team Prize (there was just a single prize for the fastest team rather than men and women).

Muddy Woody 6

Trail run fans Sian McGoldrick and Suzanne Court travelled to Hereford on Sunday for the hilly and muddy Muddy Woody 6 race. There wasn’t any chance of them getting during the race with the ‘Flare Gun’ that Sian bought from Suzanne!

Royal Parks 10K

Sue and Alun Gray were in Regent’s Park, London on Sunday for the Royal Parks 10K Winter Series. Congratulations to Sue for finishing under 60 minutes for the first time (59:18) and taking 2nd in her age category.

Zodiac Run

Katherine Wilkiams gave her Green Vest its first airing of 2019 at the Zodiac Run in Margam Park. The race was a 3.3 mile trail loop and you had 7 hours to complete as many laps as you wished. You also got a giant 100mm medal for finishing.

Cardiff 20/10

The Cardiff 20/10 organised by Les Croupiers took place on Sunday and we may have had some runners there but the only one I know that was there is Hayley Jackson (Thanks Howard for the photo).

BUCS Nationals 2019

A huge well done to Lauren Cooper who finished 5th in BUCS Indoor Champs 3000m in a time of 09:57, a huge improvement on last year’s 11th position and time of 10:25.

Not sure if it’s a genuine race but Stephen Williams took part in the inaugural ‘Hilary’s Trial’ 10K fun run on Sunday morning finishing in a time of 41 minutes.
