Christmas Parlauf Relays
There was another successful Parlauf Relay at the track session this week. Nicola Haines Jones had done a superb job of seeding the teams to make sure there was an even battle. The winners of this year’s relay was Laura Hire, Nathan Harper and Tom Webb.
Llangynidr Bleep Test
The third annual get together took place at Llangynidr this week. 2016 involved efforts around Llangynidr, 2017 involved swimming through some rather large pools of water due to snowmelt and this year featured a Bleep Test at the village hall.
Post-Bleep Test, it was over to the Red Lion for a tasty Christmas meal and entertainment. The Jones’ did a cracking job of creating a challenging quiz featuring a super-tough photo rounds where you had to try and guess club runners from photos of their running shoes and their arms.
parkrun
There were four PBs to report this week with Harry Davies finishing in a super quick time of 16:31, Ian Line in 20:19, Dave Kempton in 22:12 (first PB at Bryn Bach in 5 years and 3 months!) and Brigitte Heasley in 27:26.
