Rogue Runs Night Race Series: Mallard’s Peak

Great to a see a couple of new faces this year at the start of the Rogue Runs Night Race Series in the Forest of Dean. Well done to Kim Price, Melissa Pearce, Sharon Woods and Rebeccah Williams for bagging 2nd ladies team!

There was just one PB to report this week with Martin Thomas finishing in 18:37. Teresa Davies was there celebrating her 50th birthday and it was little Alfie’s first time out in his parkrun ’10’ t-shirt.

Mike Williams and Matthew Crowle were at the fast Aberbeeg parkrun where they both recorded cracking times running under 22 minutes.

20th Welsh Athletics Inter-Regional Cross Country Championships

It was a big weekend for the club with a total of 20 members running for both East Wales and South Wales at the 20th Welsh Athletics Inter-Regional Cross Country Championships in Llandrindod Wells.

Well done to Rob Bennett who took third place in the Festive 5K Run hosted by BG Life in Ebbw Vale on Sunday.

Leadership in Running Fitness Course

We now have 12 new Leaders in Running Fitness after they completed a course in Caerphilly on Sunday. Dai Parry celebrated his 50th birthday there (that’s dedication) with a surprise buffet.

Gaffaccino Half Marathon

Looks like fun was had at Marcus’ half marathon (and a bit) Sunday run to Gaffaccinos for afternoon tea.
